When Visa set out to celebrate Earth Day, they didn’t just want to check a box—they wanted to create an experience that felt meaningful, memorable, and rooted in action. That’s where Lauren, co-owner and lead planner at Eclipse Event Co., came in. With her creative direction and passion for intentional events, Visa’s courtyard was transformed into a vibrant tribute to sustainability and community.

From the moment guests stepped into the space, it was clear: this wasn’t your average corporate event. Lush greens, warm sunlight, and the pulse of curated music from Bat City Beats set the tone. Tables were lined with Visa-branded reusable produce bags and wildflower seed bookmarks—beautifully designed and compostable, no less. It was a scene that balanced polished planning with eco-minded heart, and Eclipse was behind every thoughtful touch. This was Earth Day, Visa-style—big on impact, low on waste, and filled with energy.

Game Plan Entertainment brought the play—with everything from giant chess and ladder golf to cornhole and even putt-putt. It was like a sustainable mini-carnival, minus the carbon footprint. Eclipse orchestrated every piece perfectly, even adjusting placements on the fly to protect the grass. ;)

The food? Root Cellar Catering delivered a menu that had both flavor and values in full effect. Picture vegan jackfruit tacos, crisp veggie crudité with roasted garlic hummus, and crunchy Aloo Tikki fritters, all served in compostable containers. And the drinks? Earth Day mocktails that doubled as love letters to Austin’s natural gems—like the Barton Springs Salamander and The Greenbelt agua fresca. Every sip, a nod to local beauty.

But this wasn’t just a party—it had purpose. In partnership with Keep Austin Beautiful, Visa employees rolled up their sleeves and crushed a volunteer project that would’ve taken weeks in the office. Instead? Done in an hour. Go bags packed and ready, thanks to a well-oiled assembly line of good vibes and goodwill.

Meanwhile, Goodera set up a seed ball station—yes, literal dirt-under-your-nails fun—where guests crafted tiny spheres of future wildflowers. It was part nature project, part childhood nostalgia, and all about giving back to the earth.

From start to finish, this Earth Day was more than a calendar date. It was a full-circle moment of community, sustainability, and joy. All tied together by Lauren’s team at Eclipse Event Co., who brought the vision to life and made sure every detail, down to the last seed ball, bloomed with intention.
Now that’s how you do Earth Day.
